Just got off the phone with my mate who lives up there and he's been crushing them. Almost all on plastic worked off the bridges. He said he let go at least 30 each night for the past few. Shrewsbury seems to be holding more than Navesink. He also said the bunker were starting to move in but still out of range for snagging...
I was out at Romer Shoals yesterday beside Canyon Runner and it seems that they took all my Stipers-Ha, Ha! We only had a few hits so were deciding to run over to Shrewsberry on the river or round the corner of the Hook. We decided Ocean and tore up the blue's. Twenty two to be exact. over half of them were over six pounds--so good Mako fillets--yes indeed!

Paul, Tell your mate that I have my 17 ft Whaler all ready to go if he wants to get off the bridge and catch some big bass. Also check if he has a place that I can leave the boat on the trailer near Sandy Hook. Thanks
He took a couple days off for turkey blamming but was back at it last night. Still good with some bigger fish. Both navesink and shrewsbury cooking now...
Thanks for the info. I need to fish more and work less. I guess story of everyone on this board or the lucky ones who fish at work!
Will try up the river next week. Someone told me night is better.
