    NJ: Spicers Creek Ramp Closed Temporarily for Repair

    The NJDEP Division of Fish and Wildlife has announced that the Spicers Creek boat ramp, located in the Spicers Creek Wildlife Management Area in Lower Township in Cape May County, will close Tuesday, November 16 for repair. Work is expected to continue through Friday and the ramp reopen on Saturday, November 20.

    If they want some input, I got it.

    It has to be the Worst boat ramp I have ever seen. Its clear that it took the Army Corp of Engineers, and at least federal grants and tax dollars, local cooperation, and a ribbon cutting ceremony to open that jack a ss ramp. First of all, its too narrow to even let 2 boats use it at once. second, it needs a dock on the other side of it so that is possible. And since you had all the room in the world, why not enlarge it? Go to Stone Harbor, Go to Avalon......see how its done, then get a guy to build it just like that. Only beaurcrats can build such a piece of crap as the ramp they built. I cant be the only one that thinks its awful. I think they could improve upon it without even spending alot of money. There, I said it. I hate to see things like this just become a waste, but its a typical govt project.
