South Jersey Tournaments (Cape May, NJ) recently announced some exciting new changes to their Mid Atlantic Tuna Tournament to be held on July 14th thru 17th, 2010. "By popular demand, the Mid-Atlantic Tuna Tournament has been switched to a trolling only format to make the event more competitive and lucrative for the participants," said tournament director Bob Glover. "Recognizing the changes in our tuna fishery, we believe this new format will make the event more exciting and competitive than ever before." According to the new format, participants will still get to fish 2 of 3 days, captain’s choice, for yellowfin and/or bluefin."

What's exciting about this tournament according to Glover is that "boats of all sizes can compete at several different financial levels and have a great sporting experience."  All of the optional calcuttas (also known as 'added entry levels') have been restructured and they have even added an exciting team aspect to the event called Team Play.
"Plus we’ll have our always enjoyable Captain's Meeting and an outstanding awards dinner and celebration – all in traditional South Jersey style" he added. "If you’re a tuna fisherman, please consider joining us in July and take part in one of South Jersey’s premier events. It’s going to be a lot of fun!"
