Good Luck to all you contestants! We are open now if you want to get out and going early.
Yesterday had a decent pick of bass on clams and bunker with mullet being the top choice of the blues! We didn′t get all that many weigh-ins because a lot of anglers were headed to IBSP for the Tournament and staying overnight.
The weather idiots are up to thier old scare tactics again - Partly sunny in the morning...then mostly cloudy with a chance of rain in the afternoon. Breezy with highs in the mid 60s. Northeast winds 15 to 20 mph. Gusts up to 35 mph in the afternoon. Chance of rain 50 percent. Yeah, sure.
Notice the sudden drop in air temperature? That was not a cold front, that was Mike, flapping his lips again. (And he says I talk a lot?

Some anglers hit the bay for spots today and did catch a few. Word is that there was better Spot activity in the back creeks and lagoons.
Great Bay tog and sea bass didn't have any off bite today. Action was good, although mostly short fish. Find a ledge and fish pieces of green crab. No action, move down the bank a little bit

No news on any striper activity today. Anglers are getting very anxious and want those BASS HERE NOW!

10-2-10 Made it back out today, and the ocean was flat calm and beautiful.Made quite a few drops to support the crowd after that big swell we just had. Some spots had some life and some did not.But we scraped together a catch and some people ended up pretty decent with the sea bass and some just had a few but overall I was happy with what we caught after that storm.Looks like tomorrow is going to get breezy in the afternoon,so hopefully it holds off and we can get the day in.See ya in the morning.

    SEA HUNTER 10-2 STRIPER REPORT
Sorry about the lack of posts, but with the weather we haven't been getting out much, and the couple days we did we only had a pick of Stripers. That is until today. Today we were Striper fishing!! Plenty of shorts and a very good amount of keepers hit the deck. The fish are cooperating now lets hope the weather does.

Thanks for checking in, Capt. Rob

Blues, Blues and more blues! The mullet are still running and the blues are getting bigger feeding constantly on them. The water temp has come down into the upper 60’s however the fall Striped bass migration will not happen around here until it reaches the mid to upper 50’s. For the past two years, the first fall striper weighed in here was on October 24th. We are waiting to see signs of large schools of adult bunker showing up in the ocean and inlet. For those of you calling it quits for the season, keep in mind that we have all your winterization needs!

Russell Short just stopped in the shop on his way back up to the beach. He reported some kingfish off of the mid-island surf this morning. Russ also mentioned that there were some snapper blues too.
