You could get lucky today!

This morning we have a very bright full moon and that lovely west wind that has been so very good to us so far this fall. Yesterday was another good day on the surf will a solid bite all day and the night crew did pretty good too! We had some very nice Bass & Blues on the scale and some of the guys I talked with really got into some fish to the point they left em biting. We are loaded with both Fresh Clams and Fresh Bunker! Both performed well yesterday. Bring that plugging pole! A wide assortment of artificials got the job done yesterday and teasers are on the list of required equipment.
The weather idiots kept it simple today - Mostly sunny and breezy. Highs in the upper 50s. West winds 15 to 20 mph.
Lots of NEW T-Shirts are now on the rack in both long and short sleeve. Get em now while there is a good assortment of size and color.
40 years ago I was 1.5 times as old as mike. 20 years ago I was 1.22 times as old as Mike. Now, I am only 1.14 times as old as him. It sure does sound like he is gaining on me!

The catching of stripers & blues continues to be awesome!

Saturday, November 20: Excellent fishing for blue fish and stripers today, just a couple of miles outside of the inlet today. All fish are big and still being caught on jigs. All anglers hooked into a big bass and by 11:30, many anglers stopped fishing because they had plenty of blues also and needed a rest. Eddie Mackin landed the pool winning bass that weighed about 20 pounds.

Cindy has not been publishing fishing reports because of her work schedule. Please note that the boat will be sailing tomorrow and then again on Friday, Saturday & Sunday after Thanksgiving.

SEA HUNTER 11-20 REPORT
The wind got us again today. we couldn't fish where we wanted to again today because of the conditions. we ended up in a different area and it was a Big Bluefish Blitz. Action was great, Rods bent over all day, But we only managed one Keeper Striper and a couple hundred big Blues. the conditions tomorrow should be better for the Stripers. We will see what tomorrow brings.
Thanks for checking in, Capt Rob

November 20, 2010 - We returned to where we left the Tog biting yesterday and they were just as hungry. It was one drop non-stop action with a boat limit. Scott Testa from Rockaway, NJ limited out with his brother and had the pool fish in his bucket, and they released keepers during the end of the day. If you want Blackfish, now is the time; they are ready willing and able. Green crabs were the ticket and West winds are what you want. We had a lot of people stay home today with the forecast.

Frank Matilonis - November 19November 19, 2010 - After not getting out on Thursday, we had a good gang today and were rewarded with good fishing and quality Tog. Frank Matilonis from Avenel, NJ took the pool with a 7 pound Tog. We had fish to ten pounds that were released to fight another day. We hope they do not end up in a rock hopper's net. It was windy today and they call for the same tomorrow.

After a week of horrible weather with daily NNE winds and big seas, and a couple more cancelled trips, we finally got back out Sunday. Report is below:
11/14: Had Steve Berlamino and Scott Mitchell charter the boat with two of their buddies - they had 2 guys drop out so Doc and Gary D filled the 2 remaining spots.

We didn't break Manasquan Inlet until after 8AM and ran to some bird life to the southeast. Nothing was organized, so I got a call that there was some life up north so we shot up there. Got the jigs in and had an OK pick of mixed size bluefish and some bass when we got there on some good reads.Bounced around a little, working the area just off SRI, and continued to pick - bluefish in bunches with a bass or two in the mix. It stayed that way until noon time, when it completely stopped. Got a call of some bird life back down south, so we got there and found loads of birds, and some fish on top slurping on sandeels - all bluefish.

Wound up doing OK - a load of bluefish and 5 bass to ~ 32" for the day as well as a nice keeper seabass. We had some real GATOR blues, one I decked, had to be a honest 18#, had a whole (chopped up) silver eel in the stomach. We had some camera issues and couldn't get that pic, except for the cooler shot at the end. Despite the late start, and running all over the ocean to put a catch together, we had a decent day!

FISHING REPORT

This week we have seen more and more striped bass in and around the TI Inlet. They are chasing large schools of herring. The birds have also been working these fish indicating bluefish are present. The bluefish being caught are around 10 pounds and reeking havoc with everyone’s lures and rigs! Good reports this week of Bluefin tuna on the Sea Isle Ridge just 12 miles off the beach. These fish are in the 60-100# range and most taken on diamond jigs. There have also been smaller bluefin within 3 miles of the beach also chasing the herring. Jay of Avalon weighed in a striper that measured 40” and 23# using swim shad in the North Channel.
