    Need recommendations please.

For three years my family has talked about catching the blues adn striper migration in Delaware during September. We're finally going to do it, but I have some questions.

Can anyone recommend a good cheap and salty type of place close to Indian River Inlet, Delaware for a bunch of guys looking to catch blues, striper, and maybe do some clamming? I've looked into the Bell Buoy Inn, but that's all I know of at this point.

One last question: I have a used Shimano 6500 Baitrunner reel on the way. What kind of rod would be a good match for this reel? I just bought a Shimano Toralejo and really like it so far. It's the little 8 foot one piece and I have a Shimano 4500 attached, but now I need a good match for the 6500. Would you buy an eleven or twelve foot surf rod for this thing?

A link for you if you don't mind giving me your advice:

    Thanks a bunch in advance,

    Cabin for rent

There are Cabins right at the inlet for people to rent. You would have to call the park office.

Also, There is a camp ground (Holly Lake) back route 24. It is 6 miles off of route 1 on the right. They have cabins there to rent as well... We have a camper in the back section of Holly Lake. Massey Landing Boat launch (State Ramp) is approximately 5 minutes away. There are 4 Bait shops on the way to Massey's from Holly Lake. massey's Landing is on the back part of I.R. Bay. You can get to the inlet by boat in about 5 minutes. www.hollylakecampsites.com
