My biggest ever!

Got this guy on Saturday morning on a big a$$ live mullet in 8 ft. of water. 29" and 10 pounds 12 ounces. Never had a fish mounted before but this one is going on the wall! Only fished for about 3 hours and got 2 more at 19.5" and 20.5" (my wife and a friend caught those). Fished again on Sunday in the afternoon for about 2 hours and had 4 more keepers with the biggest at 23" by me on a live mullet again. I lost another monster on the previous drift cause I was stuck with a spinning rod and couldn't drop back quick enough, that fish almost ripped the rod out of my hands. They hit those big lively mullet like a freight train. I let the big one eat for almost a minute before setting the hook, couldn't even see the hook when i got him on board

NICE fish man! I've got two pens full of mullet but just haven't put the time in to the flatties.

Bill, this is why I no longer go surfing or scuba diving or anything that could put me within reach of the relatives of any of these fish Revenge is a dish best served cold. And Hroonk, get out there and use those mullet! The season closes on the 14th or 15th
