Its possible that cod and pollack are still near some of the wrecks in there. Ling and whitiong will be easier to find in the places where there is more structure. Early runs of bluefish may be found and by the middle of next month the first sharks should arrive...

The wreck fishing has been decent so far and will only get better there. The blues will be there soon and already heard report of a shark or two caught there this season, but that will not turn on for another few weeks, maybe second week i June depending on sea temp. There will be schoolie bluefin tuna in July and then bigger bluefins in Oct. In July it is mostly on the troll but some guys chunk, in Oct it is mostly a chunk bite with little trolling, many target the monster ledge area. With your boat you should have the range to run the glory hole and possibly the chicken canyon on the right day, but make a glory hole trip first to be sure. We had some awesome fishing with 50-70lb bluefin tuna this season in late July, 10-15 fish days, too bad you can only keep one. also, if you fish and plan to keep a tuna or shark you need a permit, it is an NMFS permit and can be found online, easy to apply for and you print it out online, I think it is $28 through the end of 2008, at least that is what I paid last year.
