2012 MISS FORTESCUE FISHING REPORTS-by Kathy

07/06/2012-For having a heatwave fishing was actually pretty cool out on the bay today. Another mixed bag...weakfish, kingfish, blowfish, and bluefish. Bring plenty of fluids this weekend. Good news....the greenhead flies seem to be dissipating!

07/04/2012-Morning wind against tide made fishing quite a challenge today. Rock and Roll! But the sun finally showed up and the bay calmed down. There was a great crowd onboard with plenty of patience. One of the brothers from Moorestown took the pool with a bluefish. Les Kyle caught enough croakers on blood worms...but too small for eating and back they went. Steve Scheule from Woodstown, NJ and Nolan Greene from Fairton had a couple keeper croakers. I hooked the last fish of the day, but my 16 " flounder had to go back. Donna and Gary from Pottstown, PA watched her flounder escape the net! Many small flounder, small croaks. Fishing could have been better.
