Today, Captain Lenny went 20 miles ENE of our inlet. We started on some scattered readings and picked at the fish on a few drifts then it would die out. Some drifts they would come back, and a few times we saw some jumbo mackerel, but a majority of the fish were small to medium size. High hook had about 50 mackerel and low hook had a dozen. We have been in business for 75 years and mackerel fishing for over 50 and we are not going to sugar coat this. The mackerel fishing has been slow this season. We will see how the next week goes and if things get better we will continue, if not, we will start bottom fishing. We will keep you posted.
