LBI Fishing 11/26/09: Happy Thanksgiving Day Everyone! As we headed up the beach today we found plenty of bass and blues. We had a steady pick most of the morning. Everybody on the boat caught at least one keeper bass. Five fares plus myself had limits catches by 11 am we were on are way home with coolers full of fish! Over all it was a great day of fishing.

LBI Fishing 11/23/09: Sunday we fished 2 spots. It definitely was one of those days the current was ripping down the beach and there was a 20 + ne wind. You needed 12 to 14 oz to hold bottom. We caught mostly shorts and a few keepers in the first two spots so I decided to go to spot number three until I put the boat in gear and it did not go forward! In the process of trying to repair the problem the wind came on a little more and the port anchor had slipped. Luckily we were able to get both anchors up with the one engine. I didn’t have much of a choice so we headed towards the inlet on one engine hoping we would run in to some bass. By the time we hit the inlet I had repaired the problem so we were under full power once again. High hook today was 3 fish and the pool winner was Scott from Beach Haven NJ with a 4 pounder. As I said it was one of those days!
