Ok before I begin, this weekends report, let me give a BIG I'M SORRY to the Lacey High

School Fishing Club who did in fact catch and put keeper black fish in the box last Friday

night. After Captain Brant read the report he almost made me walk the plank, but instead

just gave me 10 lashes for my mistake, I must have been sleeping on the job again.

Well Saturday was our first striper, blue and drumfish trip. We had a great crowd on the

Boat, John T. and his gang celebrating his birthday. The Mossbrook family from PA., and

the wildest group of all Miss Vicky and her gang. (you can sea them all on the photo gallery)

look for young Dom, a future captain. We headed out to the inlet picked a spot and

anchored up. Captains Frank and Brant started a chum slick right away, and soon we had

no fish?. After awhile we pulled anchors and went looking for those little devils, we went

east, a little west, a little south, but they were hiding real well. We went back and anchored

up again waiting for the tide to change and boy when it did game on. Although we were

short on stripers, the blue fish were on a heavy bite. Captains Frank, Brant and myself were

manning the gaffs, with 3 4 and 5 hooks-ups coming at a time. A great finish to a slow start.

Our poll winner was Mike from Barnegat with a 14 pound blue. Next weeks Galley Special

is pot luck if we have it so can you.
