Saturday 11/6/10

Wow what a day, fish fish and more fish. Today was our ten hour trip, we only took out 28 anglers on an eighty foot boat, talk about room. It was a little sloppy, and a little windy, but as the fish came over the rails nobody seem to mind. On our first drop we started catching fish as our lines were on there way down. We picked up some nice fish there, but the shorts well out numbered the keepers. So off we went to find another site. We were some where between the shore and 20 miles off it. (you know I can't say where so don't ask) Again as our lines were going down we were getting nice fish, in the 3 to 5 pound range. At one time the entire starboard side had fish on. We fished there for a good awhile, then the doggies moved in. (you know those endangered poor fish who eat anything they get their mouths around).
So we moved on, Captain Frank stopped at two sites and found no life, so we did not even stop. But on the next stop, bam fish on, sea-bass trigger and cod. What a day!!. Our high hook was Evil Ted, who worked so hard he had to take a nap (sea photos). We had many anglers with 15 to 20 fish, I think the low catch was 11 or 12 fish. Poll winner was Black Cloud Ted with his NICE cod fish. We will do this 10 hour trip again next Saturday the 13th of November, but we will be leaving at 5 AM. If you want in Call Captain Frank to make reservations, we had to turn away 9 people this trip. The cost is $80.00. Coffee will be ready and the grill will be hot.
