Miss Beach Haven Fishing report 11-28

[Fishing Report]

Saturday 27, 2010
UGLY day, no, beyond ugly. Wind blowing a steady 25, seas rolling every which way, gusting to 35 to 40, but we still caught fish. Hard to feel the bite with the boat rolling, but a few of the guys got their limit. Fish in the 1 to 3 pound range. Everyone caught keepers, just some more then others. On the way in we found more bird life. Captain Frank made a few drifts through the bass, but they must not have been hungry. Only 2 stripers were landed, one was caught by John (say cheese) Cheeseman, who also won the blackfish pool with his 5 1/2 pound blackfish, the other by retired John from north Jersey, who also limited out on blackfish. Also a quick note, someone must have gone to the men's room, and got a diamond jig from a rental rod stuck to their clothing, If you found it stuck to your pants when you got home would kindly leave it on the galley counter. I hope the hook did not stick you when you sat in your car. Thank you in advance.

[Fishing Report]

LBI Fishing 11/28/10: Nice fishing conditions today, not as windy, calm seas. We made our first stop, and started picking up fish right away Lots of shorts with some keepers mixed in. Captain Frank was not to happy with amount of shorts to keeper ratio, so off we went. Boy what a good move that was. Once again many guys limited out, many with between 3 and 5. Everyone went home with fish. Again John (say cheese) Cheeseman, was our pool winner with a 6 pounder. But the star of the show today was Little Big Man Pete (see photo) not only did he catch 3 nice keeper tog , but he bag a 11.7 pound bluefish, did I mention he is 7 years old!!. Yes on the way in there were birds working so we gave it a try. Pete was the only one to come up with a fish. Nice job, he is giving lessons next Saturday. PS I even caught a 6 pounder, so the must have been biting good.
