I decided to do a little practicing today. Left the dock in Deale around 11:30 this morning and fished around bouys 83 and 84. Since I was alone I only put out 5 rods. Marked a lot of bait and some fish in 35-40 ft of water. I kept heading east to see what the rest of the depth looked like. I saw a lot of bait and fish in 60-80 ft of water - all I had to do was look for the gannets on the water and there were fish under them. Just before 1:00 I had one rod go off and a second one went off while I was just getting started on the first. Both of these fish hit tandum parachutes - 1 white 4/8 oz and 1 green with a black head 6/10 oz - both were around 140 bars back. I had a third hit in the same area about an hour later. This one hit the same white tandum as the first. All fish were well over 35". Headed in just after 2:00. Beautiful day!
Sorry - no pictures.
