Mid-Atlantic Rockfish Tourney..report

Fished The Mid-Atlantic Rockfish tournement in Va Beach with Jerry Harris The HANDYMAN and his Brother John along with Buddy from the manasquan area, we were joined on fri and sat by Rick
All were great fisherman.

The Trip started wendsday i rode over to NJ and we met at Chris Hills place ,Chris sorry you couldnt make the trip. Thanks for letting us keep the vehicle there.

After meeting with Dave from In$ufi$hent Fund$ we headed toward VA, we met up with the boat in tow.

We arrived at the Turtle Cay resort in VA BEACH just before the captains meeting at 730.

The Captains meeting was a great time.
Orange crushes, and met alot of great people.

We hooked up with Harry from the Cheapshot

And The Nunn Boys,

Just before the metting was over it was decided we would fish the artificial division instead of the open.

In hindsite maybe not the best choice..but at the time it was the right choice.

Thursday started with light winds and cold temps.

Leaving the Ice surrounded dock at 6am was quite awakeing

The ride in the 38 Fountain center was fast and furious.
The trip 300hp motors were ripping thru and out of the water at times..AWESOME

We were able to run at 50+ to the grounds.

We ended up fishing off NC past the Wright Bros memorial.

The fishing was a little slow with the water being about 42.4 degrees, but we managed to put our 3 to weigh in and a nother in the boat.

Catching a nice double header of striped ones.

We met up With Team In$ufi$hent funds and they also put a few fish in the boat on Thursday.

The weigh in was a great sight, alot of sweet boats.

Friday it seemed colder and we couldnt get the fish to bite.
Long day decent riding conditions.

Saturday, windy, COLD, seas a little kicked up,
We were lucky to be able to run 30 thru the $hit.

We went further and Still could not get the fish to open up.

Had a GREAT 3 Days Fishing This Tourney,
Ready to do it again.

We were using MOJO and umbrella rigs mostly.
The Streachs were also working.
