Lead Pouring Party

This morning I went to the Bull Islander Anglers Club lead pouring party at member Craig's house here in Poquoson Virginia. Every one brought supplies, lead, molds, barrels, burners, ect. Had a great turnout and any type of sinker or jig you could want was made. I had to leave for work but I took a couple pictures before I left. This is a great way to get together and save money at the same time. Thanks for hosting it Craig.

I miss my lead pouring days, looks like a lot of fun and never thought of having a get together to do it. It does bring back a lot of memories though

If anyone wants to get together here in Wilmington, let me know. I have about 50 lbs of lead and looking to make bank sinkers for Grouper, egg sinkers for C-rigs, some jigs ect.

I've been to a few lead pouring parties and I've always enjoyed myself. Even though I don't need any tackle, Its fun to get together in the wintertime with some friends to make jigs, lures and sinkers. Last year, a friend of mine even turned sone cedar plugs on his lathe and we poured lead bullet-head inserts for them.
