Well it was raining at 6:00am when I met Capt. Micheal Mata at the boat this
morning, just the two of us heading out. pushed down to seaside had bait on
the bottom birds were working and heading north, my gut told me to keep going
south stopped at the top of the mast birds diving in 35 ft of water no fish under
them yet. I went about 3 more miles south and out to 55 ft and worked a small bait pod 10:45 first strike mike reels in a 30 incher and I swing around rod goes
off again 29 reset fish on again another 29 incher all in 40 min and the bite was over there were no bait up against the beach like the last three days, I
was on the beach when it was snowing the other day me and three other guys
pulling shorts out of the surf. there was so much bait in the water they were
pushing up on the beach not today. tomorrow is another day, hope another
school of bigger fish comes along pulling the boat next week
