The past few weeks have been totally weird as far as the ocean goes. Water temps to 80 from the beach out to the canyons, ets but the conditions have settled down a bit now. Here are a few pics of some of my trips in the last week or so.
Bob Smith and Jim had a great day on a 5 hr. trip. They caught lots and kept 11. 8 were over 20". They should be eating good for a while!
Ed Rescedez and family had a great day catching the small blues. All kids need is a chance to reel in a fish and they are happy. Bent rods= smiling faces
Not to be outdone, yesterday Tom Miller and his Grandson Kyle,(Fluke killer) Miller, and Tom's buddy Bill had a sweet day on the fluke catching loads and keeping 8.
It is that time of year and the Free Spirit will be heading offshore quite a bit in the next few weeks. Of course, we will be filling in between those trips with inshore trips like these for fluke and when the croakers show, BIG croakers. The weakfish are here but are small. I do love this time of year!
