Late Report Hot Dog 7/17

Well just got back from Ocean City and now have access to a computer. Left the dock thursday morning around 6:00 and got to the Hot Dog alittle after 7. Water temp was around 76 degrees and we saw a bunch of turtles. There were only 2 or 3 boats there so we got our lines in and started trolling. We trolled all Ballyhoo combined with Ilanders. Mixed blue/white and pink/white Ilanders in the spread. We were marking fish all over and saw another boat hook up. Fifteen minutes after lines in the left short rigger pops and the tiagra 50 starts screaming. We knew it was a nice fish when she was dumping the spool quickly. The battle was on, then the right long pops and the 80 starts screaming. So now we have two nice fish on. After a good 25 minute battle we manage to get both fish to the boat, the first a fat 55incher and the second a 54 incher, What a great start to the morning and both fish hit on pink and white! We kept the 55 and released the second fish. After about 30 minutes, the the left long pops and another bruiser is on. After about 2 minutes the line went limp, we brought it in and saw that the leader broke at the crimp so we lost her and the pink and white ilander, Crap! So again we are back on the troll and manage to pick up one more bluefin again on pink/white and she measured 53.5inches so back she went. We headed back in around 12 after the bite seemed to slow and we were low on ice.We stopped at some pots on the way in a picked a few peanuts up and finished out the day.
Overall awesome day. Seas were a bit swelly on the way out and settled down for the ride back in. Ill get pics up as soon as my buddy gets them to me.
