Last Straw Poor Girls Open recap

We fished the Poor Girls Open with Team Reel Pink Tails. Headed to the washington canyon. We had a real nice marlin bite on the edge, just north of the bight. We raised 4 marlin in about 1.5 hrs. Got hooks in one blue marlin (+/- 400lbs) and one white. The blue hit a pink & white Ilander/bally & the white hit a green machine. After the white, the bite shut off, & that was it for the day.

Congrats to Team Reel Pink Tails on their second consecutive blue marlin in the Poor Girls Open. These girls can fish, unfortunately, they finished just out of the $$$.

Gotta say I LOVE the name . . . Reel Pink Tails!!!!! Love that there are more women out there fishing. We were out there on the Covert Mission for the CM M&T Ladies' tournament, but I'm hearing what a great time the Poor Girls Tourney is, we just might have to travel South for this next year!!!
