Thumbs up Last Straw 9/12 Baltimore Canyon

Went to the Baltimore Canyon Sat. Caught a 35lb. wahoo to start the day off. Picked up 3 dolphin in the 20-25lb. range. Had a white window shopping, wouldn't bite. We got into some smaller dolphin & skipjacks in the afternoon & threw out our big stuff hoping to get the blue that was obviously chasing them. Sure enough, she came cruising in, just wouldn't hit anything. I teased her onto an 80lb outfit with a peanut dolphin imitation lure I call "Godzilla" but she wouldn't hit it. I guess she was stuffed full of the real thing.

Most bites were on ballyhoo. The skippies will hit most smaller lures, save your ballys when they show up. The hot color on the dolphin was pink.
