Guess I decided to take the Last Lady out of the water at the right time for maintenance---the storm that never was is past and she will be back in the water Wed for the fall and winter season. Today the Last Lady II is out on its last fluke trip of the year. We only had half a boat full of people----will report how the fishing went later in the week.
FLUKE re cap---a very disappointing season with a lot of small fish caught and released. We did have some very good days, but then a storm would come in and ruin the good fishing. Best trip of the year was a couple of weeks ago where we bagged 13 keepers too 9 lbs on the Last Lady at the rocks. Naturally fishing will get very good NOW till the end of Oct, but we can't fish for them. Maybe someday they will get smart and split the southern & northern part of the state to different seasons. Up north here we don't need to fish for fluke till the beginning of July--then we could fish for them in Sept--Oct when the big fish are on the move.
