Lake Chickahominy fishing report 10-6
Capt. Art Conway of Conway's River Rat Guide Service (804-746-2475) out of Ed Allen's Boats and Bait reported that Chickahominy Lake mid-day water temperatures were in the low to mid 60's on Wednesday. The lake level was about 6 inches above the top of the dam. A few bluegill, crappie and yellow perch were still on some of the main lake weed flats and in the mouths of the major creeks. Wright Bait Co. two inch curly tail grubs, tubes, swim baits, and live minnows have been the most effective baits for crappie and yellow perch. Bass were scattered on weed beds in the creeks and creek mouths, especially early in the mornings.
