Here is the "end of winter" update. The calendar says we have 2 more weeks of winter and the temperature was below freezing this morning, but they are calling for 60+ degree temps later this week so I'm getting a jump on things calling it the end of winter.
The first striped bass of the year are now being caught in Great Bay at Graveling Point. This is over 3 weeks earlier than fish that were taken last year. This is an excellent sign for the season to come.
I will have the boat overboard in the next 10 days and will begin fishing the first of April. I am offering a $50 discount on private inshore trips booked prior to April 1st, so now is the time to get your dates. Get them now before they are gone.
Good fishing, and see you aboard the Karen Ann II.
