'JUST ONE MORE FISHING REPORT 9/2/11..BIG FLUKE IN THE RIVER !


Yesterday, I fished with Al, Tommy, Ed, and Chris. We did a short four hour fluke trip fishing the Shrewsbury River. Everyone is saying the fluke fishing is over after hurricane Irene. Well, we can prove them wrong. We landed a total of 8 keeper fluke up to a high of 5 lbs. just a couple of minutes from the dock!! We lost some other large fluke that just came off the hook. And there were plenty of fluke just under the 18" limit. These are the fattest fluke I have seen all season. Some of the fish were hunkered down in the mud as their white sides were stained brown from doing so. Great fishing. See the attached photo with Chris and his 5 lbr. !

This would make a great half day trip if anyone is interested. Morning or afternoon. Plenty of fishing time with no travel time. THE FLUKE ARE STILL HERE !
