Thumbs up June 1st Delaware Bay report

The drum are still snapping good for us in the dirty ditch. Today we finished early with a fish box loaded and 6 happy anglers. We had a 6 hour trip last only 4 hours and 10 drum up to 70lbs. The best part was watching a 12 y/o out muscle 5 other men landing 3 drum with the biggest going 69lbs. It is not our style to sit there and kill our limit so we went home when the box was loaded. Close to 700lbs of fish is enough for any group and they agreed.

We still have openings this week. We fished in 18ft of water and the temp was 66 on the incoming tide.

Way to report it John! Awesome job out there! Got to love it when the little ones outfish the older ones!

What about the Striped ones? I hear they are still catching up the river, so there should be more coming down.

I thought they were extinct. Haven't seen any in the mix yet.

They're around, you just have to do some searching! There is only a few of us that have been catching them.
