Sat March 5th

If the weatherman is right it looks to be a day to be outdoors because tomorrow looks like a wash out.

So far this morning it is cloudy with a south wind. Ocean is 41 and th air is 44 here on LBI.

First day back to work. We are not in full swing yet but as when the fishing turns on so will our hours.

Tide charts are in so stop by and pick yours up.

Fri March 4th

Ocean temp is 40 this am with a few warmer days ahead. Hopefully it will raise this water temp up and get a spring fishery to happen on the beach.

Once again yesterday stripers were caught but--- not on LBI. You need to find those warmer waters to hook up right now.

Thurs March 3rd

First I would like to thank everyone for all the birthday wishes yesterday via phone, email, mail and facebook. Had a great day and out to lunch day.

Chilly morning causing the water temp to drop a degree. Looks like a nice warm-up for Sat and then some rain. Still some fishin flea markets to attend this time of the year to get you in the fishing mood.

Wed March 2nd

When the wind settled down yesterday it made for a nice day in the sun. I am keeping busy catching up on all the stuff to get the store ready to open. The winter was not kind so we have some repairs going that have to be down and it look like the road is going to be tore up also but we will be at there to get everyone ready for the up and coming season.

Yes there were stripers caught and kept yesterday but they came from places that have much warmer water than the ocean and bay in the area around LBI. There are stripers caught all winter in this location without naming a place ---- but it is a place where the water is usually warm.

Tues March 1st

The offical opening of striper season. The back bays once again are open for bass. This morning we have the typical March winds and an air temp of 33 and the water is 40.

Winter flounder season does not open untill March 23rd so everybody has time to get their gear in shape for the up coming season.
