FISHING REPORT
Sat Nov 28th
After a slow week of fishing today was a pleasant surprise with the amount of fish being caught from the beach. From sunrise to sunset there was action on various beaches. Holgate rip had bunker in it at daybreak and Brant Beach and Haven Beach had sandeels with fish on them. Again at dark Holgate rip had bunker in it is what Joe Handley told us when he weighed his bass. Joe had several other bass and was late for dinner because fishing was too good.
Tom Gardner Jr. was in with his 10-8 blue. Tom also had a keeper bass.
Blow out tides on the beach are showing lots of bars. Surf anglers are on some these bars and catching a few fish. A couple of the Holgate fish that came in are from Bill Montrey with a 18-5 bass.
Brennan McAllister with a 19-9 derby entry. Nice to see a a 13 year old follow in his Dads footsteps. This was his first entry into the derby which puts him in lead in the juvenile divsion
Looks like Brian picked a good day to bring is son fishing. Brennan was just back with a 21-8 bass to beat his earlier one. Dad had one for the scale too. Brian had a 39-15 caught on bunker in Holgate at 3:00.
