Fri April 9th

We have some fresh bunker this morning along with clams and blood-worms. Green crabs are available for those of you fishing for tog. They are catching some tog off the rocks in Barnegat Light and for the boaters some on Atlantic City Reef had some nice tog for Miss Beach Haven last week.

Rain this morning but should be out of here this afternoon. Water is 46 this am with a air temp of 56. Yesterday on my day off I went to Columbus Farmers Market and it was 84 there. Last night when I got home it was 54 here. What a big difference. Alot of wind here too yesterday after-noon but there were fish caught. You needed heavy sinkers to hold but a few were rewarded for putting time in.

Joe Handley JrMargaret...missed you tonight at the shop. Wanted to weigh the first surf caught bass of the season in. I had a great 1 hour session in the mid-island surf. Caught 7 bass (5 keeper sized) to 38+ inches. Kept a 29 and a 31".

******There have been other keepers caught from the surf over the last 10 days but we have not weighed one in store yet.
