REPORT

Despite having a cold winter March fishing started early this year with a keeper bass coming from Graveling Point early March. Bass at the power plant most of the winter and then some blues there 3rd week in March. Island Beach had their first keeper bass 2 weeks ago from the surf with Brigantine having one last week. Beaches on LBI have taken a big hit with the storms this winter making access hard for many. You can get on but to climb back up some of these hills is not easy. This has cut down on the amount of anglers trying. With the warmer temps this weekend things could open up here too. I have heard of a couple of shorts but no keepers from the surf. Once fishing picks up we will adjust our hours. Time to change that calender and see what April will bring. Good Luck!

Fri April 2nd

It is one of those pretty mornings with the sun coming up and the moon going down. Air temp 44 with no wind. Ocean this morning is 46. News chan-nels are showing 48 for the water temp. I like that number.

Take advantage of our Spring Cleaning. Special goes to April 15th. Special price on clean and grease of your spinning reels.

Clams, worms and green crabs all in stock.

Thurs April 1st

Water temp at 11am is 46 with an air temp of 53. Little wind today and gorgious on the beach. I just came from a walk on the beach and waited to high tide to see what condtion it would be for driving.. A couple of trucks on the beach in the Nebraska section with plenty of beach on the north side. Sand is soft.

A 3 pound weakfish has been report from the back bay of Seaside. A few winter flounder around from the bridge north.

With the nice weather lets see if someone gets a keeper bass from the surf this weekend. Plenty of bait in stock and the store prize is still waiting for the angler with the keeper.

Wed March 31st

Water 45 air 45 wind NW about 15 this am.

It will be so nice to have the sun back. Lets see if the improved weather brings some fish and more fishermen.
