Jingles Bait and Tackle, Beach Haven, Fishing report 10-7
Looks like it will be a nice weekend. Finally a chance to get the boat back out in the ocean. Remember Sea Bass fishing ends Oct 11th for a few weeks.
This morning it is 51 with a west wind about 10. The ocean has dropped to 64. Small craft warnings will be in effect today.
Reports from Island Beach and Brigatine yesterday of some stripers on clams. Brigatine had been quiet so it is good to hear of some fish there.
Hopefully some fresh bunker later today for us. A couple of 20 pounders taken here yesterday on bunker.
Wed Oct 6th
This is a first!
We are in the 40s this morning. Little wind from the west and the ocean is 65. Maybe this will get things moving.
Nice start to the morning with this 43 3/4 inch bass weighing over 20 pounds. Jack caught this fish at high tide this morning on a bunker head. Nice clean fish.

Outgoing tide has lots of bites. Kingfish and croaker taking worms.
Tues Oct 5th
Holgate is open!!
Beaches is Beach Haven are in good shape.
An hour after high Dick C rode from aylor to Holyoke with no problem. Picture is from Center Street looking south.

After the hurricane of 1944 we had the 5 famous poles of Coral Street.
Now there is 1.

Beaches north of Beach Haven have some erosion with alot of sand missing around the jetties. They are working on entrances.
The good news is that the traffic lights are off and he speed limit has been raised. That means fishing time is here again.
Chilly this am at 52 degrees and a NNW wind at 15. The ocean is 66. This wind should help to flatten the ocean.
No fishing news from yesterday but this morning are few are trying.
