West wind this am at 15 and the air temp is 36. The ocean is 51 degrees.
Not the bite of yesterday but there were fish from mid-island to Holgate from the bay and the ocean.
We had a couple of 30 pounders weighed in today in which one was 31-9 a Classic fish caught by Lynn Shallcross.
Carl caught the other bass at 31-8.
Frank Panzone head of our derby committe weighed in a 21-8 bass this morning.
Bluefish in the surf today also with the largest one we entered 12-1 was caught by Amelie Littell of Haven Beach.
Jordan Malandro age 12 had a 10-2 bluefish in Beach Haven.
We also had a 9 # blue weighed in by William Savage.
Charlie Hess was our first weigh in this am with his 19# bass caught at 7:15am.
Today there were several fish that didn't make it to the scale but will make it to the table. Another one that made the scale was a 18-8 caught by Chris Cottone.
Boats also had some fish in the bay and on the troll and jig in the ocean. Bass we weighed from the boats ranged 18 to 25 #
