Sun Jan 3rd Cold blustery day again today with winds gusting over 50. Ocean temp has dropped to 35. Looking out my window this morning I can see ice on this side of the bay. I am sure once this wind slows down it will ice up good. Not to much warming coming up in the week ahead. It was a noisy night in my house during the night with the wind banging things around, fire sirens and the police scanner going off reporting wires down. Good day for football today. Sat Jan 2ndCold and blustery out today. Temp in the 20s with W winds gusting to 40. Tidal water in the street. Sounds like last fall on the weekends. I hope we get out of this weather pattern. Yesterday after I did my fishing registry I took my annual ride to Barnegat Light to visit Barney. It is my annual New Years Day thing. On the way up we stopped to see the Harvey Cedars dredging project. It looks like they are making progress. Not everyone has to but if you want to fish for striped bass in state waters you have to. Children under 16 do not have to.
