Hey guys, we are still weighing in alot of really nice bass from the Del. bay and the rips. The weather has still been an issue to contend with but if you can get out the fish are there. The upper bay is starting to produce a bit better, some good numbers of fish are being caught in the stakes although some of these are throwbacks. The rips are giving up some fish on eels, spot, and also trolling away from the crowd. The seabass fishing is very good at the C.M.Reef and reef site #11 when conditions permit. There are good numbers of keeper sized fish and tons of throwbacks keep the action rolling.
The surf started to pick up this week before somebody turned the fan back on. Most of the action was small bass with some keepers starting to come in. Small blues were also hitting cut bait before the water clouded up. Dave Cox of West Cape May landed a 20lb bass on one of the point jetties.
Robert Gery of Villas NJ weighed in a 49 1/2lber from the bay. Rich Lowe of Cape May hit the 50lb mark on the nose with a Del. bay fish. The big fish of the week was caught by Mike Nuzzi of Atco NJ a 52lb fish also from the bay. Thanks,Matt
