Hey guys, More boats are out of the water than not, bait is getting harder to get but the fishing remains good in the Delaware bay and in the CM rips. Saturday the charter boats reported as many as 45 bass in the rips. The crew of the "Hola Pili" reported a catch of 65 fish most of which were released. 17 of these fish came from the rips and the rest from up in the bay. Granted not all of these fish were keeper sized but that is great action. In the rips the fish were taking Eels, Bucktails, and plastic shad lures.
The beach fishing was good early in the week until we got the hard northwest wind that chopped up the bottom. We also are starting to see schools of big Blues coming through once in a while on the beach. The big fish of the week was a fish caught from the beach by Barry "The Trashman" Thomas of Villas NJ. The fish weighed in at 50 and 1/2lbs. This will be my last report of the year. The store will have limited hours from now until Christmas so call ahead if you are coming down. We want to thank everybody for their patronage and wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year.
See you in the spring. Thanks, Matt
