Jim's Bait and tackle, Cape May fishing report 9-4
Hey Guys, sorry about last week didn't have power. The storm slowed the Fluke fishing down to a crawl we are just now starting to catch again. It didn't slow down the Croakers the CM reef was full of them right after the storm. The best bite on Fluke was at Del. Reef site # 11 with better pickings starting to come from the CM reef as well. A few fish are starting to come from the area outside Mc Cries shoal in the tug boat channel.
Seabass are right around 17or18 miles out on the wrecks in 80-100 ft of water.
Offshore fishing started out slow after the storm but is picking up nicely the charter boat "Miss Andrea" worked a weed line inside the Baltimore canyon and pulled over 50 nice Dolphin off of it. The private boat "Supercrew" had 9 shots at White Marlin in The Washington Canyon on Friday.
The surf fishing is a little slow. There are still some Fluke at the point and it is picking up everyday. In another week or so the Mullet run should start if we get a good cold front. When this happens the surf fishing usually heats right up.
Thanks, Matt
