A retty slow week due to weather. A lot of boats didn't leave the dock. Charter boats that went reported that seabass are being caught on wrecks in 80-100 feet of water. There are also tog on the same wrecks. Barney Halek of Bridgeton weighed in a 9.22lb blackfish and a 3.62 lb triggerfish and a good catch of seabass from a local wreck.
A few wahoo and dolphin have been caught at the inner edge of the Elephant's Trunk around the Teacup. A few small bluefins have been caught in the same area on the troll.
The surf has small blues , kingfish and spot on most days. A few bass , mostly small, have been caught in the surg and at the inlet jetty. There have been a few keepers.
Most of the bigger fish have been caugh on live spot or live mullet. Spot and mullet can be caught in the surf with a cast net or sabiki rigs with fish bites or worms.
