Hey guys, the weather conditions from Tuesday through the rest of the week hindered fishing for the boat anglers. I got out Monday for a few hours just outside Hereford inlet and caught a load of Croakers and Blues in the 2-3lb range. I also marked fish all along the Wildwood Lump. The Cold spring inlet Jettys are still holding plenty of Blackfish and some Bass are showing up as well. At the start of the Northeast wind this week the Bass had Mullet trapped in the pocket on the Wildwood Crest side of the inlet rockpile. Anglers casting plugs caught some nice fish there on Tuesday. Barry Martin of Medford NJ weighed in a 22 1/2lb bass he took on a yellow bomber plug from the rocks.
Nobody got offshore this week due to conditions hopefully the Tuna will be there when things calm down.
The CM Rips haven't started to produce fish yet but the temp. is supposed to drop sharply this week with any luck it will get the fish moving. The only good reports in the Delaware Bay were way up by Ship John light. Once the Sand Tigers and Brown Sharks move out the Chunk bite in the Bay should turn on, that could be this week.
Most of the surf action is still small Blues and short Stripers but more and more keeper Bass are starting to Show up.
Thanks, Matt
