Some nicer fluke are coming from the Old Grounds. The fish are still tight to the structure, so short drifts are the way to go when you find the fish. The Bay was slow this week ,not a lot of good reports. The good spots appear to be Cross Ledge Light and Reef Site 11. Their are some nice fluke and seabass at reef site 11...
Jeff Glenn fishing on the Good as Gold weighed in a 9.68 lb fluke caught at the Old Grounds. They had 15 keepers on that trip and 3 were over 6 pounds.
Some croakers are showing up off Cape May Point and at the Wildwood Lump.
Small blues are caught in the rips in the late afternoon.
Dolphin and cobia are showing up on the inshore buoys and pot markers.
Spanish mackerel, bonita and false albacore are being caight on the inshore lumps. Trolling small spoons, feathers and Gotcha troll spoons seem to be the best.
White Marlin are in most canyons and dolphin are increasing in numbers. The best tuna bite has been at first light at the 40-50 line inside the Lindenkohl.
The surf at Cape May Point is producing short fluke and some croakers. Kingfish are in the cove and are starting to hit at Poverty Beach just beyond the breakers.
