The bunker boats have put a hurting on the big pods of bait and fish recently. The fish are still here but its not as easy as it has been to find them. The fish are spread out over a biger areas as well as alot of bycatch that is being killed!
The fluke reports have been so-so with different reports coming in. I have fished the shallowerwaters with better luck myself. The deeper waters are producing fish, but its alot colder so the fish are not as active.
We have had alot of Seabass and Fluke caught on the "Moon Crater" recently off Lavallette. Its been one of the better spots.
The big news is all of the black drum being caught. They are in the bay, along the coastline and plenty fothem are being caught right now! They say its so easy, even a child can catch them. ( I have included a pic to prove it! lol. )
