We have alot of small bass hitting in the surf right now. Some bigger fish are being caught but we do not have a big report to give as far as 40lb'ers go! lol. The new "Whip It Eel" has become the hottest lure right now for striped bass. Al Gags has come up with this new lure and we have sold out 3 times already with people travelin to buy them. They are eel scented jigs with an eel tail, available in sizes from 3/4 up to 8ozs.

The best tide has been outgoing water up to about an hour before dead low tide. Fresh clams are the best choice for bait. Whip it eels, and sand eel looking lures are working better than swimmers right now.

We have alot good reportson the local inshor reefs. Axel Carlson & Sea Girt reefs are holding some nice tog. Guys are still catching tog in the canal as well. Green crabs are best bait for togging.
