Man....Kyle is going to really screw up the plans next week....

With the intended path of Kyle I have a feeling that the plans are going to be changing for next week. Maybe the rocks sound like a better idea. Will be playing this by ear for shore.

This weather really sucks!!! It seems like every time you try to plan a trip old mother nature throws another curve ball. I guess the only good to come from all of this is maybe these NE winds will really get the fall run going and we might get a decent fall striper season.

Agreed!

The wife and I just got back from a week down on the OBX. The stinking wind blew all week and no fishing for us. We were going to try and salvage the week by heading out monday. Chance of that now look slim to none. Hopefully a bass trip will work out!

Looks like a bass trip for us.....

Not really sure where we are going to go as the swell is a decent size from what I saw today. Thinking about running up the Raritan bay and try some clams of worms up by old orchard. Second thought is to try the Navesink.... Not really sure but open for ideas. Looking to leave AHMM by 7:30am.

What a waste of a day...lots of fishing no catching!

The forecast had us a little concerned so we stayed right around the hook looking for bass. As none of the local shops had clams due to the weather he last few days we were stuck with drifting worms! No luck. The conditions were windy and sloppy; saw some sporties heading east in the AM; they were braver than I.

you didn't happen to fill up at pederson's marina this morning? we got to the tip and decided it was good enough to head out to the mud bouy... had four bluefish all day (lost three right at the boat) but all around 8 pounds... pretty slow overall

Nope wasn't us.....

We were drifting the rip in a bluehulled express with a marlin tower. What was it like at the mud bouy?

it wasn't too bad... the weather last night was calling for 5-7 i think and it seemed the swells were every bit of 7 feet but they were around 15 seconds apart with no wind chop so it was nice smooth sailing. it got a little choppy on the way in (around 2 o'clock) but it was pretty smooth the whole time. lots of fish out at the mud bouy, but not as many bites as i was expecting. didn't seem like the boats that were chumming were catching anything and we had four fish all day. are you on a luhrs?
