Well, Saturday the 24th we got blown out with ENE wind 15 to 20 gusts to 25, 4 to 7ft swell. The GE Inlet was just like a big blender particularly on the out going tide. So we did work around the boat and got some of the house hold jobs done.

Sunday the inlet was still snotty in the morning on the out going tide. So I told the group to meet me at the boat at 9:30am. The tide by then was about an hour or more coming back in. This layed out the swell in the inlet a bit so we were able to get out to the fishing grounds. We fished in 50ft of water and there were a lot of small Weakfish caught and olny a few to keep. The Croaker action was slow. We got some that were pretty big but not many. It was good to get out and bend the rod. We will be at it next weekend.

STRIPER SEASON is right around the corner. I have been booking trips. There are dates open in November and early December. I will be sailing out of UTSCH'S Marina in CAPE MAY NEW JERSEY starting in MID OCTOBER THRU MID DECEMBER. We will be fishing in and around the famous CAPE MAY RIPS.
