Fishing Report for 9/29
September 29th, 2010 by Indian River Marina

Well the weather hasn’t been very cooperative for fishing off the beach the last few days, but the Headboat “Judy V” did run a trip this morning for some inshore fishing. They reported a mixture of Sea Bass, Croaker, Bluefish and Flounder, although it was a slow pick. Hopefully the bad weather will have passed through by Friday and more boats will be running.

Even though it’s been though getting off the beach, fisherman in the inlet are still having good runs of up to 5 lb Bluefish running in with the tides. Along with the Bluefish, anglers are catching Striped Bass and Flounder. You can expect the Striper catch to improve as the water temperatures begin to drop.

Good news for those fishing the rocks and wrecks, the season for Tautog (Tog) reopened today, so get some green crabs and catch some of these very tasty fish.

There is still good fishing to be had and the cooler fall temperatures make it a great way to spend a day whether fishing from a charter boat, headboat or on the beach.
