Indian River Marina fishing report 8-28
After Storm Report August 29
August 29th, 2011 by Indian River Marina
Well, the storm has come and gone and Indian River Marina held up extremely well due to the pre-storm preperations and cooperation of all involved. There was very little damage done here at the marina and to the boats here and we are currently getting the marina back to normal operating condition. The Indian River Inlet Bridge is reopened and access from north or south is possible. The offices will reopen for business at noon today.
Seeing how this is a fishing report I thought I’d post a few photos from just before the storm.

Eddie and Grady Kehl of Perry Hall, MD along with Mike and Kyle Amrhein of Fawn Grove, PA caught these nice Flounder weighing 5.2, 4, 2.8 and 2.5 lbs. on live mullet in the Indian River Inlet.

These two Flounder, with a combined weight of 7 lbs., and a 3.5-lb. Triggerfish were caught by Daxton Yike of Hanover, PA using live spot in the Indian River Inlet.

Susan and John Byrd of Pike Creek, DE had a good day fishing in Indian River Inlet, with Susan landing a 3.3-lb. Flounder and John a 5-lb. Bluefish.

Duane Ketterman of Millsboro, DE caught this 2.9-lb., 20-inch Flounder with a live minnow in the Indian River Inlet.

Jim Thieme of Catasauqua, PA caught this 3.8-lb. Triggerfish using sand fleas in the Indian River Inlet.
The fishing was great before the storm and should continue now that things are settling down. Charters are still available for the upcoming Labor Day weekend. You can get Charter information by calling 302-227-3071 after noon today and ask for Carolyn; she’ll be glad to set you up.
