Indian River marina fishing report 2-9
Fishing Report for February 9th (2012)
February 9th, 2012 by Indian River Marina
The Rockfish are still being caught in and along the inlet by those anglers who have been venturing out. Some have reported some keeper size, but I didn’t get a number of how many Rockettes to keeper ratio. Good news is that they did get some nice keeper Rockfish off the beach last week for those who ventured out in boats. One boat fishing the inlet the begining of the week also reported getting over a half a dozen Tog from the inlet waters, which is a good sign.
Captain John Nedelka has been running charters on the “Karen Sue” for Tautog the last few days and reports good numbers of Tog on Monday and some nice sized Tog in the 11 & 12 lb range yesterday. He was out today when I got the report. He also reported seeing good numbers of Rockfish in the inlet while transiting to the Tautog grounds.
A reminder than the Ocean City Boat show will be next weekend the 17th thru the 19th of February. Stop by and visit the Indian River Marina booth, located by the Food area across from the Maryland record Blue Marlin display. There will be some of the Charter Captains working the booth with us and you can speak with them regarding the fishing opportunities out of Indian River Marina. We will also be able to answer any questions you have regarding dockage at the marina and on renting our Waterfront Cottages. Hope to see you there and until then Good Luck and Tight Lines.
