Indian River Marina fishing report 10-30
Fishing Report for October 25th
October 25th, 2010 by Indian River Marina
Offshore fishing has been a little slow in the local offshore waters recently, but the word from the North of us is that the Yellowfin Tuna are North of us and should move in to our waters soon.
Inshore fishing report is somewhat better. Captain John Nedelka of the “Karen Sue” took a party out for 7 hours on Sunday and found the fish on the Inshore wrecks. Captain John reported his party caught Tog (Tautog) up to 18 inches, Triggerfish and Porgy (scup).
Inlet fishing is picking up with keeper stripers (Rockfish) being caught on Stretches from the Inlet into the Coast Guard Station. In addition there are some Stripers being caught on the Hen & Chicken Shoals. Striper fishing is just now coming into its peak period and should only get better.
A reminder that Black Sea Bass reopens on November 1st, but Summer Flounder (Fluke) is closed in Delaware waters until the end of the year. Good luck and tight lines.
