Each of the past 2 days High Hopes out of Rudee has brought a blue marlin to the scales. Does anyone have any information on this as to why they are killing these marlin? I read that the marlin from Monday died on the hook, but not sure about today. I guess it's the charters decision, but really they should release these fish. Only thing I can think of is they are hooking them on lighter tackle fishing for mahi and aren't able to get them to the boat in a reasonable amount of time. I just think it's crazy they brought a fish to the scales 2 days in a row when I haven't heard of any fish dying on the hook since memorial day out of pirate's cove. I guess nice pictures lead to more charters.
