Has anyone recently been out for Giant Seabass?

I'm looking forward to making a giant seabass trip in the next few weeks. I used to go on the Doris Mae out of Barnegat Light. I'm looking for recommendations from those who have been out recently.

Pretty sure they are biting out there, but whether the weather will let you get to them is the question.
